IPEC High Voltage Ltd was formed in 2006 as a Joint-Venture between IPEC Engineering Ltd and High Voltage Solutions Ltd who have been partners in the supply of Partial Discharge (PD) Test equipment and PD Test Services for over 10 years. Our products are used in the Worldwide Electricity Supply Industry to enable our customers to assess the insulation condition of their in-service High Voltage Plant via On-line PD testing, monitoring and location of incipient faults and defects.

The Directors of IPEC HV (Dr Lee Renforth and Dr Ross Mackinlay) have, collectively, over 50 years of experience in both on-line and off-line PD Testing. This knowledge is passed onto our OSM-Longshot™ customers through dedicated training courses and after-sales customer support packages. We supply a complete range of PD Test equipment and PD Test Services to a worldwide customer base in Europe, North America, the Middle East, South East Asia and Australasia.

IPEC High Voltage also provide a wide range of On-Line and Off-Line Partial Discharge (PD) Test Services to an increasing number of clients around the world. PD Testing Services are carried out by our team of highly trained Test Engineers who utilise the versatile OSMLongshot™ Diagnostic PD Test Technology and a range of On-line PD Sensors depending on the HV plant to be tested.

OSM-Longshot™ Online Diagnostic Partial Discharge (PD) Spot Tester

The OSM-Longshot™ technology is suitable for the online PD testing of most types of HV plant including Cables, Switchgear, Transformers, Motors/Generators and Cable Sealing Ends/VTs/CTs.

The technology is centred around the unique PDGold© v5.0 Software which has been developed via 4x upgrades over the past 10 years. The test technology utilises electromagnetic and ultrasonic sensors for the insulation condition assessment of HV Plant.

The OSM-Longshot™ technology is today, the most advanced, flexible and robust technology in the market and is supplied with a 3-year hardware warranty.

The OSM-Longshot™ Unit is suitable for both Online and Offline PD 'Spot' Testing (of a few minutes duration) and Short-Term PD Monitoring (of a few hours to a few days duration) of in-service HV Plant (with the HV plant 'live').

OSM-Longshot™ On-Line HV Cable Mapping Package

The OSM-Longshot™ Unit can be applied to On-Line Cable PD Mapping (PD site location on HV cables) using the PDMap© expansion software and the PTT- 2000CT Portable Transponder. This On-Line PD Mapping system provides for the location of PD Sites along the length of HV Cables of up to 5km in length.

The PDSurveyor™ Handheld PD Surveying Tool

The PDSurveyor™ from IPEC High Voltage is the World's First, handheld, multi-purpose, Partial Discharge (PD) Test Technology suitable for On-line insulation condition testing and PD screening of in-service High Voltage (HV) plant including cables, switchgear, motors/ generators and transformers.
